 The Cost of Inspections:

Why when gas prices double are inspectors not given more for travel?  The price for travel over 70 miles has not changed in 7 years which is just ridiculous considering the areas that inspectors are asked to travel.  The only solution I see is simply not taking claims that involve long travel or travel that would make the claim not worth the money.

I would also like to talk about the way inspectors are now asked to use an app that takes 3 to 4 times the amount of time to accomplish the same task done before without an increase in payment for said inspections.  Then we are asked to transport, setup, and take down ladders without an additional cost increase for the additional gas it takes nor time that takes seems like a bad idea.  It seems as though HVACI does not care about being reasonable when it comes to compensation.

Last the trip charge this seems like it does not take into account the gas prices, travel, nor the time of the inspectors that are wasted.  The small compensation barley covers the cost especially considering the aforementioned issues and problems.

It seems like we need to unite and start a Union for inspectors so that we have a voice and a say to some of these problems as contacting HVACI staff does nothing and goes nowhere.
